Crew members have all kinds of unique and fun opportunities in vMTV, they are a dedicated group of volunteers! From hosting parties to helping new members, the Crew teams are here to lend a hand and to make sure that everyone has a safe and fun time!
Crew members also are promoters who help promote a wide variety of things from band appearances to new sponsors brought on by MTV's Virtual Worlds.
Think you've got what it takes?
Crew members need a valid email account listed in their vMTV Profile for special notices and events. Crew members should be a good standing member in vMTV for at least four weeks and show active participation in world.
You should be able to do the following things.
Know where to find help, more specifically help for abuse issues. Email or Live Chat.
Know the behavior guidelines & rules of the game. At the end of training each crew member will be asked to read the guidelines and agree to them.
Gaming Platform: Must have a over-all knowledge of the game and gaming client. You should know how to perform every function found on the main toolbar of the game.
Hosting Events: You should know how to schedule an event at any of the funzones and be familiar with the vMTV Funzone Hosting Rules. (Training classes will be provided periodically by fellow crew members)
Socializing: Must be familiar with the different emotes and chat features (including how to use the ignore feature).
Funzone Searches: Must be familiar with the Funzone Search feature in order to navigate more smoothly and to teach others how to use them.
Posting on the Forums: You don't need to be posting everyday but checking the official game forums & the crew/group forums and posting when appropriate is a must.
Must check your email: Activity-Checks and important Event & Game information is sent out through email. You *must* check your email. Not checking email is grounds for removal from Crew.
Handling Tough Situations Maturely: Since Crew Members should be setting a good example for others you should know when to leave a bad situation. You must be able to understand when things require staff assistance and when things do not. Repeatedly involving yourself in drama, and bringing said drama back with you involving the Crew, may be grounds for removal from the Crew program
Access Chat Logs: If the situation requires chat logs you should be able to reproduce the chat logs and send it to the proper people requesting chat logs.
