VAGRANT SIGNS DR. MANHATTAN
DEBUT DUE OUT THIS FALL
(June 25, 2007) - DR. MANHATTAN, a four-piece rock band from Lake County, IL, has signed to Vagrant and will release their as-yet-untitled debut album this fall.
Dr. Manhattan formed in 2005 and features Matt Engers (20) on lead vocals and guitar; Adam Engers (22) on bass; Nick Vombrack (22) on drums, backing vocals; and Andrew Morrison (19) on keyboards, percussion, and backing vocals.
Nick Vombrack stated, "One small step for Vagrant. One giant leap for d.man-kind."
The band has developed a reputation for high-energy, anything-goes live shows and will be playing a handful of dates over the summer as they finish work on the album which is being produced by Jon Alvin at The I.V. Lab studios in Chicago.
AbsolutePunk.net is already championing the band and says, "Whether with the buzz-saturated distortion of "Big Chomper Big Chomper," or the contagious synthesizer groove of "Gunpowder," these lads will calmly wow the minions and confidently own up to all the hype that is surely coming."
